Adventures in Mobile Testing: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Topics: Testing, Mobile, QA
With over 4 billion users on mobile devices around the world it has become more important than ever to create great experiences for users to take wherever they are. Though how we do achieve these experiences in a world of multiple devices and different operating systems? Join me in this talk as I dive deep on the nuances of mobile testing, the good, the bad, and the ugly. The focus will primarily be on testing native applications (Android and iOS apps), and briefly on mobile web. Ideally, participants should be familiar with one of the following programming languages (Java, Javascript, Python or PHP).
I have worked in mobile quality assurance for the past two years primarily focused on how to increase test coverage across our Android and iOS applications. I hope to share my knowledge to participants of this talk to enable quality assurance professionals, developers, and all those passionate about testing in using open source tools to increase code coverage and provide more confident releases.
